I always leave it so long between posts that there is so much to catch up with, not that this waffling is of much interest to anybody but occasionally I like to waffle.

Mum and Dad
Finding things tough going at the moment. Mum had a fall a few weeks back and tore the ligaments in her knee, which caused a bleed which she had to have drained at the hospital. She has had tests done since which have indicated that she would benefit greatly from a knee replacement. Mum is still trying to decide whether or not to have it done.

Heather
Where to start. My little darling over the last few months has been making good use of the word 'No'. Definitely asserting her stubbornness and independence. It's lucky she has such an adorable face. She is still enjoying school and enjoying going on wonderful adventures with her Granny (imaginary friend). Things are always better in Granny's house and of course Granny lets her do lots more things than we do .

Matthew
He's not been well for what seems like a very long time. Over Christmas he was ill with his asthma which resulted in him having to take steroids, plus time off school, and now again he has a very heavy cold which has made his asthma worse resulting in him having more steroids. It's maddening because we have gone out of our way to ensure he has his inhalers every morning and night to hopefully prevent the asthma but he still gets ill.
Last month Matthew brought home a letter from school inviting him to take part in a Masterclass for exceptionally able children. The course was on a Saturday and normal school hours, and the course title was Poetic License . Matthew loved it - he was so enthusiastic when we picked him up, showing us the poems he had written and talking about the different types of poems he had read and learnt about. He has been invited back in a few weeks this time its to do Abracadabra-It's Magic . The program is run by these people It's a fantastic opportunity for him so I am glad he enjoys it so much.
Matthew is now an alter server at church on a Sunday morning - he looks so grown up and angelic in his alb. So bang goes any lie in I might have had !
